Just completed my first 5 Tai Chi lessons with Melissa and I have thoroughly enjoyed them. I always thought Tai Chi looked so boring because it is slow. However with Melissa's instruction I find that the hour flies by and every part of me is engaged during the class, my muscles, brain, breathing, etc. It is so much harder than it looks but I can see that with a lot of practice, I can improve my coordination and strength to complete the forms. I started this practice to improve my balance and strength with a fun group activity that has a low risk of injury. So far I'm really enjoying the classes and at-home practice. This is not a cardio experience but you will use a lot of leg and core muscles and finish class feeling refreshed.

I work out with Ivan White twice a week. These workouts have changed my health - my strength - and my life. If you value your health consider Ivan or Melissa Jenkins as coaches. Their expertise will wow you. Best investment of my life.

Ivan brings a treasure-chest of experience, know-how and thoughtfulness to every session. His powerful presence is somehow both motivating and calming — important to me, as I need help to "get moving" but don't like to feel anxious or rushed. Ivan readily brings to bear his wealth of knowledge about health (including strength-training, alignment, diet, and mindfulness) to any question, injury or concern. Most notably, his deep, sincere care for his clients' overall well-being comes across in all he says and does. I wholly recommend Ivan to anyone considering starting or changing their work-out routine.

Melissa has a passion for the art of Tai Chi. Tai Chi is great for improving your balance and coordination. Melissa is a great instructor and is very knowledgeable of the intricate movements of the art of Tai Chi.

Great Tai Chi and Qi Gong beginner class in beautiful settings (either the park or studio). Melissa shares her passion for Tai Chi and holistic care and takes the time to demonstrate and explain in depth every movement and answer questions. Each class reinforces basics and introduces a new movement. Challenging and relaxing at the same time!

Ivan has provided great service, The best trainer ever!!!! I would recommend him without equivocation.

I've been working with Melissa and Ivan in small-group SSM classes for over a year, and I've never felt stronger. They create such a positive, encouraging environment - everyone works at their own pace, towards their personalized health goals, and safety is always prioritized over just cranking out reps. My son also takes the youth strength & skill development class, which has been a total game-changer in rebuilding strength after a sports injury. He's now back to full strength and competing again! I honestly can't recommend them highly enough- this place is exceptional!!

I've been training with Melissa and Ivan for 2 years now and both of them are amazing trainers and people. I have never been stronger or more flexible in my life, partially thanks to their efforts and encouragement in my training. Each person's goals are unique, and while I can only speak from my experience of wanting to improve in Chinese Martial arts, and Tai Chi, as well as my weight loss journey, Both have been extremely supportive and encouraging in providing guidance to help me meet those goals. They have extensive knowledge of how the body works, and years of experience, along with professional presentation in a way that is easily understood. Ivan's expertise in boxing, kickboxing and strength training perfectly complement Melissa's expertise in kinestiology, nerve work and overall health. You can tell from their personal approach that they genuinely care about the topics they live their lives in. They don't just work in fitness, they live it, and to my eyes, love it. That love comes through to their clients, and friends. While I would personally recommend The bi-weekly Strength and Skills group class that Melissa coaches, as training with others makes it easier to be motivated to get up and move. If a group class isn't where you are, They do offer private sessions that can be personalized to your needs. The best compliment I think I can give them is simply Move Freely. Live Freely. Yep, a little cheesy, but it fits. Keep moving friends, and living your best lives!

Just recently signed up for small group training at Freeform Fitness and though it’s just been a few weeks the experience has been incredible. I’m already enjoying benefits both physical and mental. In each session the participants are at different levels and ages, yet the trainers are very skilled at making our workouts mesh together. It creates the great feeling that we are not only being well-coached by a professional, but encouraging and rooting for each other as well. While there are consistent routines and goals it’s anything but boring; every session is fun. The number of different exercises we’ve done is surprising, in the best possible way. I leave Freeform feeling as though parts of my body are finally awake again, having been ignored for far too long. Ivan, (trainer with whom I’ve worked mostly) is not only smart and excellent at what he does but is kind, funny and totally non-judgmental. He truly wants what is best for each client and his incredible, positive energy is infectious. This is the best investment I’ve made in a very long time.
